Future Business Leaders of Ireland Association (FBLI)

FBLI

Tipperary Institute's Future Business Leaders of Ireland is a student lead association that provides members with the opportunity to develop real life professional business experience.

The overall aim of the association is to bridge the gap between the classroom and the workplace.

This exciting new initiative started in Tipperary Institute in September 2008. The strategic intent of the FBLI is to become nationally recognised as the number one business association for third level students by 2013.

The FBLI association aspires to:
  • Develop socially responsible, competent, assertive business leaders
  • Strengthen the confidence of students in themselves and their work
  • Create more interest in and understanding of Irish business enterprise
  • Encourage members in the development of individual projects that contribute improvement to the business community and region
  • Through partnership with local enterprise and community leaders the association will facilitate members in the transition from college to work.

Members of the FBLI have the opportunity to hold leadership positions in the association across all business functions, complete personal development programs and receive awards for business excellence. This allows students to apply knowledge learned in the classroom to a dynamic business environment, bridging the gap between theory and practice.

The benefits of FBLI membership include:
  • Invitation to business events such as seminars, workshops and meetings
  • Networking opportunities affording members the chance to develop new friendships and contacts with business and community leaders
  • Professional experience through leadership positions which can be held across all areas of the association
  • Career achievement programs including personal development, mentoring programs and business achievement awards
  • Social evenings and fun events
Membership of the society is open to all students and staff of Tipperary Institute.
